Award-winning platform Fashions Finest resumes with live LFW event!

At the beginning of the month Fashions Finest won SME News Award for the Best Independent Fashion Event Management Company – London. On 18th of September Fashions Finest resumes with live LFW event!

0VQ2A7703Opening the show was Radiqal Tat with a collection sourced from used fabric and a colour palette ranged from peach-coral to red and burgundy. Her plus-sized models owned the catwalk as they strutted and sashayed

down the runway bringing the collection to life. Key pieces were altered, such as the shirt, pencil skirt and skirt suit to create new looks by ‘removing’ parts of the piece to create drama and interest while other outfits incorporate busy, clashing fabrics. And continued to surprise with other ideas like an ‘upholstered’ look.

Shokushu Boutique was well suited for the backdrop of the venue St John’s, with its use of Iconography & silhouettes from 16th-century Catholic art and architecture that alluded to the relationships between ostentation, avarice and frivolity while incorporating the brand's signature latex fabrics, and cute and colourful twist.

UNIQUE’s collection was elegant and feminine featuring hand-made embroidery parts. Effortless and elegant shapes informed by bold nuanced colour stories made for an easy to wear collection.0VQ2A7667

Ad Astra presented darker tones and prints, and uniquely handmade paint on the fabrics in their collection. The brand combined comfortable oversized silhouettes with more sensual details. Architectural designs and the 20th century Italian art movement futurism, particularly its attention to geometrical shapes and colour combinations inspired this collection.

Jana Simone six-piece collection ‘God’s Creation’ was inspired by the designer’s upbringing and her surroundings adorned with religious features. Jana used embroidery and had a great variation in textile design and finish.

Elisha Quarman showcased elegant non-fetish luxury leather lingerie, with touches of silk and lace. The collection was influenced by Chinese culture and explores engraved cultural antiques as well as the curves and textural patterns of the Chinese dragon scales through surface etching and engraving of leather. The print engraved on the lingerie was a continuous line drawing inspired by the curves of the dragon.

Sharon Sweeney’s Swanzy Land collection pays homage to the late pioneering modernist Irish artist, Mary Swanzy. The collection uses Irish Linen, cotton, ramie, tencel and deadstock fabrics, full of colour and texture.

0VQ2A7626Kaffa Mockbill, the Birmingham based designer closed the show with a collection inspired by delicacy, femininity and royalty and used combinations of tulle, satin and embroidery. Models swayed in red carpet worthy couture gowns and finished with a spectacular bridal dress.
